Welcome to Among the Pines- A gateway into deeper community and creativity.
Hi friends—
The warmest welcome into this space! I’ll be posting weekly journal’s that highlight not only things that spark my creativity and joy, but ways to connect deeper with each other. I’m very grateful for the community I’ve built through Old Pine and I want to continue to foster it in ways that not only let you experience me deeper as a person, but that extend ways to connect with each other. Old Pine wouldn’t exist without you, so thank you!
October has officially arrived, which means cozy vibes are here to stay. In our house, spooky season is in full swing — costumes have been chosen (with a little improvising) and decorations are up. Russell is suiting up as a Stormtrooper (Clone Trooper costumes, I learned, are strictly for the $250+ adult cosplay crowd). Joni is channeling Mal from Disney’s Descendants. Now, with lightsabers, the Descent soundtrack playing, and decorations everywhere, it’s a real monster mash each night in our home.
This time of year always feels a little magical to me. The air is crisp, the nights come quicker, and suddenly candles transform from a “nice extra” to a must-have. A single flame can turn a chilly October evening into something warm, inviting, and just a little enchanted.
At Old Pine, that’s what I hope our candles bring you — a little everyday magic. Whether it’s glowing on your porch while trick-or-treaters stop by, or flickering while you curl up with a blanket and a moody movie, I love knowing our candles are part of the season’s rituals.
Here’s to cozy nights, playful costumes, and just the right amount of spook.
With warmth,
Dani
